[In the left margin] Browne Olive Will In the name of God Amen I Olive Browne of the County of Southampton to do make constitute an ordain this my last will and testament in manner and form, following that is to say where as I am in possession of ??? my Negros when I heretofore held as slaves of the following names to witt, Tony, Mourning, Ben, Milly, Amos, Tony, Sam, Jacob, Burwell, William, Sarah, Amy, and Liddy, I do by virtue of The act of Assembly in that ???? made and provided Manu???? an set them free and I hereby release all right Title and claim that I might have to the above nam'd negro's as slaves, and it is further my will and desire that if any of the aforesaid Negros above named should have Increase after the present date such child or children shall enjoy their freedom in the same manner as the others and whereas some of the slave negros are now under the age of twenty one years and may be so at the time of my death it is my will that my friend Thomas Lain have the service & labor of such negros until they arrive to the said age of Twenty one both those named above and such as may be born after the date of this my last will & Testament Item: I give a bequeath to my friend Thomas Lain my mare to him & his heirs Item: I give a bequeath to Lucy Hines daughter of Willm Foster £10 to her & her heirs Item: I hereby direct & empower my Executors hereafter nmed to sale at Public sale all the rest of my estate both real & personal and to convey a title to my lands to the purchaser and the money arising by such sales it my will it shall be equally divided between Polly Lain & Joseph Lain children of my friend Thos Lain such division to be made by me Executors such persons as they may appoint Item: If either of my friends Thomas Lains children Polly or Joseph should die un- der age I desire and direct that such legacies as are hereby left them shall go to the survivor & his or hers and should they both die under age I then give and devise the of their shares & legacies to my friend Thomas Lain & his heirs Item: I give to Polly Lain and Joseph Lain all the money bonds or accounts which may be found after my death to be equally divided between them as before directed Lastly I appoint my friends Thomas Lain & Joseph Lain his son when he arrives the age of twenty one years Executors of this my last will and Testament In Witness where of I have hereunto set my hand & seal this Ninth day of October in the year of our Lord 1794.
